Healthy Chelmsford: A community partnership striving to help improve health, well being, and quality of life.
What Makes Healthy Community
The Centers for Disease Control defines healthy communities as "A community that is continuously creating and improving those physical and social environments and expanding those community resources that enable people to mutually support each other in performing all the functions of life and in developing to their maximum potential."
"People coming together to make their community better for themselves, their families, their friends and their neighbors...that's what a healthy community is all about!" -Community Member
The Massachusetts Partnership for Healthy Communities (Director Peter Lee) is funded by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health to engage and work with communities, organizations, and funders to support, develop, and sustain healthier and safer communities.
